Putting up the tree!

We are getting ready for Christmas!!! We got to put up the tree today. Xander helped me decorate while showing the tree "gentle touches." We didn't get to put very many ornaments on it as we have a one year old that loves to pull things down, and a tile floor... glass and tile, not a great mix. We are getting so excited!!!

Today's cuteness

Josie got to wear her fancy dress that Grandma Wood made her today for church. She is so cute in it! Also, Xander and Josie hung out together in the bouncy chair!

Our Halloween Fun

This Halloween was full of all sorts of fun... Instead of carving pumpkins, we let Xander paint his pumpkin, that way he could actually participate! He did such a good job of keeping it on his pumpkin! We also went to a Halloween dress up party at our friends house. It was tons of fun to see everybody dressed up. There were people dressed up as transformers, jailbirds, witches, a devil, the Joker, ect.ect. Scott was a Asian man in a womens dress (hahaha), Christina was a Pirate gypsy lady, Xander was a bat! and Josie was a cheerleader (we took the costume off one of Christina's build-a-bear teddy bears!)On Halloween night, we didn't go to that many houses as it was pretty cold and sort of late by the time we were all ready to go, but Xander caught on really fast and LOVED knocking on peoples doors. It was a blast and can't wait until next year when Josie can go to!

Oct 18 The pumpkin patch

On the 18th, the Ellison's invited us out to the Pumpkin patch! Scott wasn't feeling to great, so he stayed home with Josie. It was a mommy and son day out. It was so much fun watching Xander run through the pumpkins trying to pick them up! There was even a horse there for him to ride! It was such a great day!

Rebecca Jane

There is a lady near our home who is just starting out with photography. She is trying it out to see if it is something she has a passion for enough to go to school for it. She was looking for a newborn to take pics of, so Josie was her model. Even with Xander being a "normal tired 15 month old boy with nothing to do" in the backround, she managed to take some lovely pictures. More to come I'm sure.

Play Group

Christina: When I was pregnant with Xander, I was part of a web forum that I was on nearly everyday. When we arrived in England, there was a mom on there that was stationed here at Lakenheath that invited all the other members on there that were stationed here to go out and take the kids to a playgroup. About once a month we get together and all the kids are nearly the same age. It's been fun and it's been a great way to spend time with Xander and to meet other mommies that just want to talk about kids :)

Schloss Neuschwanstein

Yesterday, we decided to get out and see a little of Germany. We went to Neuschwanstein castle. It is the castle that they modeled Cinderella's castle at Disney Land after. It was a very long drive, but it was well worth it. We drove over the Rhein River, and almost crossed the boarder into Austria without passports! Oops. The lake near the castles was breath taking. The water was SO clear and blue. It was a fun trip that we are glad we took.
